Short overview.

Jan is born in 1966. His parents came from a family of farmers and small businesses.  In 1986 Jan married Corien and together they have three children. They still are a happy family. Their oldest son Tim is living in Rotterdam. Their two girls Lisan and Jerina are still living at home.  In 1987 they did a mission training school with Youth With A Mission in the Netherlands. After finishing this training they returned to their home town Naaldwijk. There they became the founders of a  NGO called Gideon. This became a beacon for evangelism and church growth in the evangelic church in Naaldwijk. Their Christian bookshop is well known in the area.

Jan and his family leave the Netherlands in 1995. They went to the U.S.A.  to work with YWAM's Mercy Ships. In 1997 this adventure stops. For a period of four years they've worked for YWAM in the Netherlands. In the same period following a couseling school in Switzerland.  In 2001 they leave for South Africa, Jeffreys Bay  to work with YWAM and the local church. In 2003 they leave YWAM and start working full time for the local church and local charities. During their time in South Africa Corien has been working as a nurse and overseeer for a local clinic.

2009-2010  Jan and his family return to the Netherlands. As main purpose to help their children through their years of University. Jan is setting up his own business.
